I've always refrained from sending out mass e-mails, especially to any past, present, or potential employers. Many companies have a large amount of talent in their database and would be inundated with emails if each of those individuals sent out requests like yours.

Regardless, it's curious that the company sent out a response like that. They had nothing to gain by doing so. Why would a company worry enough about something so trivial to send out a response to all of your contacts? Except in extreme cases, I've always refrained from speaking negatively about other workers or agencies, even if it was warranted. Often times speaking negatively of someone else is more of a reflection of one's need to criticize others. Although you may be annoyed, it's not going to make or break you. If any other companies read the response from Indy Models, it would more likely cast a negative light on Indy Models instead of yourself. Many probably would ask why they were being so petty.

My professional advice would be to forget about it. Continue to share feedback on companies in a diplomatic way, but don't worry too much about the small things. Those companies usually end up shooting themselves in the foot. Good luck!
