~~ either you need to learn how to spell, or be sure to proof read your posts.

Coffee demos should be an easy sell. I have seen that machine demoed, and it's pretty cheap, and easy to use. I watched the girl sell 4 of them in an hour. And we were in a slow store.

They have been good as gold so far with me. I get paid every too weeks. They even offer direct deposit. You will have to submit to a background check no drug screening though. For me it is giving me something to do before the tour season starts but it is a decent gig. depending on your area they will place you in a Macy's, Sur la Tab, or Bed bath and beyond. Give them a holler they have been nothing but professional and solid with me.

So I'm studying people and companies when i come in contact with a tour or event set up. I was walking to walmart when i came across the oscar mayer weiner mobile. i was slightly geeked because i wanted one of those weiner whistle's . I spoke with the girl who was on the tour apparently they offer the job to kids fresh out of college. I figured it would be a good starter tour for someone fresh out of school? A freind of mine told me they practically get paid in hot dogs though lol

Has anyone ever come across this tour?

Hi
I was just wondering how often do they pay (every two weeks or every month)? How long did it take before the company contacted you back? Are they organized? If you can not tell I am really interested in this promo so your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I did a search and saw that an ad questioning their integrity was removed from Craigslist recently. Looks like a coverup. The ad was questioning if anyone had received work after sending them the $25. Looks scammy to me.

Hey guys heres another SCAM to be aware of...

Can you say class action Lawsuite?

If you or anyone you know have worked for PromoModels.com and have not been paid within or after the 90 days as stated on the contract, please contact me immediately @ Maura.Biz@gmail.com.

If you do an internet search on them you will find them listed on sites such as RipOffReport.com. They have been known to operate under different names, and models and businesses all over the country have been cheated out of thousands of dollars. They refuse to return emails or phone calls, and some of us have been waiting for more than a year for payment despite proof from clients of payment-in-full.

The FBI and Business Bureaus are already aware of their practices, and the next step is legal action. A group of models from the Orlando area have come forward and we are actively pursuing ending this scam once and for all. The more of us there are, the stronger our case.

Please take a minute to forward this to all of your model friends and associates. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your time,
Maura

Hi Shanna,

Any updates on Big Swag? I just got an email from them. Sounds too good to be true. I don't like to work for companies that I can't google and find ANYTHING on them. Makes me nervous. Be careful who you are giving all of your info to...

Hi Shanna-
I've not heard of them but if they can get 500 people to pay them $25 each... thats a nice little chunk of change. Any company worth doing business with is not going to have their employees/ contractors pay for something thats a standard business expense. I'm thinking a time card would fall under that catagory. If you have to fork up some cash to buy yourself some khakis... no problem. It goes with the territory. Good Luck and let us all beware of fly by night companies that may be up to no good. Go with your gut instinct because its probably right. Best Wishes. :)

By the way, Newy and whomever else, depending on what market you apply for you probably will never work any shifts for them anyway. AIM is known for hiring more than double the people they actually need for their program and half of the staff will never work a single shift.

The company is not called Rembrandt Advantage, they are called AIM Live or Alternative and Innovative Marketing or just AIM.

I currently work for this company and it is by far the absolute worst company I have ever worked for. They do not pay their staff on time or come up with reasons not to or lie and say they did just so they can have you pay $30 to reissue a check they never sent in the first place. Other times they don't pay you for a shift or two a pay period for no reason or just don't pay at all. They are poorly organized and take advantage of their employees. There are many lawsuits and labor board cases being filed against them, of which I know firsthand. The staff they hire are awful and they expect you to work your blank off for little pay. It sounds great at first, but then they throw things at you last minute or expect you to do all kinds of work you never agreed to.

Heidi, you made the right move by running the other way, trust me! And I assure you I have dozens more horror stories about AIM. Make your own choices, but don't say I didn't warn you.

Heidi you are lucky you didn't reply. AIM is a horrid company who scams their employees out of money using any excuse they can hoping that they won't be caught. They are extremely disorganized and do not pay fairly for the work that they expect. They are a complete joke and there are many lawsuits and labor board cases currently being filed against them. They are not a secure company and have publicized all employee personal information (SSN, address, name, etc) in their system and their employees are now at risk of having their identity stolen. No joke. Anyone who gets a job offer from AIM (Alternative & Innovative Marketing aka AIM Live) should run the other way FAST!

Hi-

I have to share... I expressed an interest in working an in-store demo that I found listed here. It was the one for $120/ $150 per day for those who enjoy reading. (Its still being listed for many cities) The link sent me to fill out what was pretty much a standard job application. (Lots of info for a part time, seasonal position!) When the 'marketing company', called 'AIM' or 'Alternative & Integrative Marketing', they were sending me additional paperwork to fill out and fax back. Well that included w-4, i9, DL, SS, background check, direct deposit info, etc!!!! Jesus! And after googling their info... the website (or lack there of) is a joke! No way is hell they're getting any additional personal info from me. Hopefully people are smart enough to do a little investigating and not share all of their personal info.

Nice Mouth EDDIE!

You Aren't the first to get a ticket, or the last so "Man UP there Jimmy Johnson".

I know in most cases it depends how bad the ticket was.

55 in a school zone will get you fired pretty quickly, along with 20 miles over the posted speed limit. Its been a while since I got pulled over, but most fleet managers will read you the riot act whether you get the ticket or not.

The best thing I've learned is to admit your mistake, don't try to hide it, and if you plan on fighting the ticket be as professional as possible. Most of the time your going to have to pay for your mistake out of your pocket so thats usually enough incentive for me to do the speed limit. I'll do 5 to 8 miles an hour over in those parts of the country where there is absolutly nothing but coyotes, rabbits, and tumble weeds though. 15 -20 miles outside of a City is also where you need to watch out!

The Key is to work with your Managers to make sure they give you plenty of time to get from one place to the other. If you don't feel comfortable with the amount of time they gave you (say something as soon as possible.) Remember at the end of the day its your responsibility, so make sure to cover your butt by planning well ahead of time.

G.
